The AirPrime RC7620 is a Cat-4 LTE module, catering for the EMEA and Australian markets. It complies with the Sierra Wireless CF3 form factor.
The RC7620 module offers maximum coverage across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia with 4G connectivity and 3G / 2G fallback. Peak download speeds of up to 10Mbps, and upload speeds of up to 5Mbps are available, making it ideal for high-throughput applications.
The RC7620 has an embedded “ready to connect” USIM, in addition to its external SIM interface. Integrated USIM devices provide greater mechanical security and “out-of-the-box” access to a global IoT connectivity solution.
AirPrime RC7620 offers support for Windows, including MBIM support for Windows 10, Linux (MBIM or ECM), and Android RIL system drivers. Future software will support embedded Edge processing using Legato running on the ThreadX real-time operating system.
GPS, Galileo, Glonass, QZSS, and Beidou location services are available as an option.
Users have access to free, unlimited Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) upgrades. Connectivity and device management options are also available.
