Lantronix FOX4 Telematics Gateway, 4G, EMEA, RS485, RS232, Wi-Fi, BLE

Based on the highly successful FOX3 series of telematics gateways, the FOX4 range, from Lantronix, includes new features such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, a back-up battery and a cryptographic co-processor with secure hardware-based key storage. The product is available with two RS232 ports or one RS2332 port and one RS485 port, with cellular communications options of 4G CAT-1 (with 3G and 3G fallback) or LTE-M, NB-IoT and 2G. There are internal antennas for both cellular and GNSS, with external antenna connections available should these be required. Power and I/O connections utilise standard Molex Micro-Fit connectors, facilitating custom cabling fabrication.

The FOX4 is suitable for a wide variety of telematics applications, both in-vehicle and static. It supports a wealth of sensor interfaces, including modbus, one-wire, digital and analogue I/O and wireless connectivity using BLE or Wi-Fi. GNSS is also available, together with movement sensing using the built-in accelerometer. Multiple industry standard cloud connectivity methods are supported, including encrypted MQTT and HTTP.

The FOX series will dramatically simplify your logistics, installation, and post-installation support. Newly developed Premium Features support mobile data logging, storing, processing, and sending. FOX4 is a configurable smart tracking/data logging device that can be adapted fully to user requirements. FOX4 also offers new features like data Encryption, several History Modes, Eco-Drive/Behaviour, Data Logging, and GSM/GPS jamming detection, besides standard items like status reports, alerts messaging, audio calls, spy calls, or geofencing. All models are expandable via IOBOX-MINI and IOBOX-CAN, offering increased I/O connectivity or CANbus.

FOX4 is pre-configured with Lantronix Percepxion software for comprehensive device life cycle management, seamless application integration, and analytics.
