The SG Wireless F1 Starter Kit is an Arduino form factor board based on the F1 Smart Module. This is the first IoT application development board to feature SG F1 Smart Module to enable Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth LE, LTE and LoRa(WAN) connectivity.

The F1 Starter Kit is compatible with the SG Ctrl Cloud Platform and supports MicroPython. It is an ideal board for getting started with IoT development and evaluating the SG F1 Smart Module.

 

 

A CAP/T BLE sensor is included, which measures temperature and humidity and forwards the measurements to the F1 Starter Kit.

A simple, low-cost evaluation board for Sierra Wireless Cellular IoT modules

Linkwave’s Wasp2 enabler board is an evaluation board suitable for all Sierra Wireless RC, WP and HL Series cellular IoT modules. The module is mounted within a CF3 socket, facilitating module swap-out, making Wasp2 an ideal platform for module firmware upgrades. Wasp2 can be used stand-alone, powered from host USB or separately, or can be added to Raspberry Pi, Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega, with standard mechanical fixings.

Wasp2 can also be used as an Octave edge device, extracting data over a TTL serial port.

Schematics for the Wasp2 are provided for reference.

Combine the Raspberry Pi compute power with the Pilot’s remote communications 4G data connectivity technology, to harness full IoT on the edge. Raspberry Pis are missing a real and reliable remote communication solution, currently limited to short-range Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The PiloT brings remote 4G networking to your Raspberry Pi projects with an easy-to-integrate and setup hat solution.

The PiloT is a HAT-compliant board that is compatible with all versions of Raspberry Pi with a 40-pin header, including Pi 2,3,4 and Zero models. Fully controllable with I/O pins, the PiloT can communicate with the Pi over USB or serial ports*. The PiloT 4G-1is an LTE CAT-1 device with a fallback to 2G for Europe.

The PiloT can be fully controlled from the Raspberry Pi and can support data communication using either PPP or CDC-NCM (PiloT 4G-1). Scripts to automate communication setup are available

The PiloT power state is controlled via the Rpi GPIO and the PiloT is powered via the RPi 40-pin header.

Control and data communications between the PiloT with the RPi are via USB or the RPi physical serial port. Note that some RPi variants use the physical serial port to communicate with the RPi onboard WiFi / Bluetooth systems.
