Sierra Wireless has today announced the release of the AirLink MP70 – a high performance, LTE-Advanced vehicle router developed specifically for mobile mission critical applications in public safety, transit and field services.
The AirLink MP70 has been purpose built for vehicles – offering high power, long range Gigabit Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet, and up to 300 Mbps downlink speed over LTE-Advanced high quality. It also provides continuous operation in harsh environments, delivering reliable wireless communication solutions for first responders and field personnel.
The AirLink MP70 can host up to 128 simultaneous clients, and concurrently connect multiple mission critical applications in and around the vehicle including laptops, DVRs and tablets. It also provides live video streaming, as well as rapid and secure access to remote databases, such as record management systems.
The AirLink MP70 can be remotely managed by the AirLink Management Service (ALMS) — a secure, centralised cloud management solution that remotely monitors and manages signal strength, network technology and location, and the oMM Management System (oMM) – a licensed, unified software platform which can be deployed in the enterprise data center, and provides a consolidated network view of an entire fleet.
