Furuno

Furuno can provide modules as well as chipset designs for high volume customers. This migration path can optimise the bill of material for your application and reduce costs.  At module level, Furuno can offer GNSS augmented with Fusion DR. This provides enhanced ground track smoothness, heading stability, and increased location availability.  This is also included in the GNSS + DR estimated position error.  The Furuno product has an Android API to ease integration. A-GNSS service is provided for free. Furuno provides a high-end evaluation platform with GNSS conductor software for evaluation. If you do not want to change your NMEA parser to support GNSS, use the Furuno Legacy mode. This provides all the features of GNSS in a GPS message format.

GN / GV Series GNSS Modules

  • GN-86 Multi-GNSS Receiver Module:

Sierra Wireless

Sierra Wireless offers extremely small dual / triple band GNSS devices (XM) or GNSS devices with an integrated antenna. The integrated antenna option (XA) is ideal for those who want to avoid RF design. Both products offer features such as Dataloggers, speed triggers, and geo-fencing. Both XM and XA report the position accuracy in meters using the EPE message, so users understand any uncertainty due to conditions.  The product is supported by a board-level development kit with SWGNSStool evaluation software. Sierra Wireless offers a free GNSS aiding service for EPO. This can be used by FLASH products or ROM products using a hosted mode.
