Location

Significant advances in location technologies have been achieved in recent times.

Location devices now use multiple satellite constellations, not just GPS, to provide solutions. GNSS receivers that combine satellite data from the GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO constellations provide unparalleled accuracy, sensitivity and coverage. GNSS devices continue to reduce in size and power consumption.

GNSS products can be augmented by the use of dead reckoning, to enhance heading and lane change detection. Time to first fix (TTFF) can be improved by aiding techniques. Faster GNSS update rates (>10Hz)  can support new applications requiring high speed location updates.
